Because it sits atop a company's existing document management software, DiscoveryBox allows corporations to leverage their existing technology, providing a faster return on investment. With DiscoveryBox, documents are loaded into the Legal Hold Repository from the existing document management platform or from any external source. Outside DiscoveryBox, normal document retention policies can be maintained, reducing strain on IT resources. Corporate counsel can remove duplicate and non-responsive documents in-house, sharply reducing the document universe. With the Legal Hold Manager, counsel can manage and monitor collections across multiple matters and multiple employees and cross reference by custodian or matter. Counsel can easily re-use documents from prior collections in new matters and release documents when they are no longer needed, reducing future case risk. The Native Review function enables in-house review of documents in their native format, protecting valuable intellectual property and significantly reducing outside review costs. The Production tool allows production of documents to opposing counsel or export to outside counsel for further review.
